[vc_row full_width=\u00a0\u00bbstretch_row\u00a0\u00bb][vc_column][vc_column_text]UK-based Walstead Group and the shareholders of Let\u00b4s Print Holding AG (LEYKAM Let\u00b4s Print) have today successfully completed the transaction whereby LEYKAM Let\u2019s Print becomes part of Walstead which, in turn, is now the largest independent commercial printing business in Europe.<\/p>\n

Walstead and the shareholders of LEYKAM Let\u2019s Print announced on 7 April 2016 that they had signed a binding agreement for the acquisition of LEYKAM Let\u2019s Print which was subject to regulatory antitrust approval.<\/p>\n

LEYKAM Let\u2019s Print is headquartered near Vienna and operates two printing sites in Austria, and one each in Slovenia and Czech Republic. With revenues of EUR \u20ac225 million and 730 employees, the group is one of the leading printing companies in Central and Eastern Europe, and the largest in Austria.<\/p>\n

Walstead employs 1,600 staff across eight printing sites in the UK and Spain and generated total revenue of \u20ac230 million in 2015. The combined group will have revenues of more than \u20ac530 million and employ 2,350 staff.<\/p>\n

Mark Scanlon, chairman of Walstead Group<\/strong>, said: \u201cWe are delighted to confirm the successful completion of this transaction. With this deal we are demonstrating to the European printing market that large scale consolidation is both inevitable and necessary for the long term security of our industry. With LEYKAM Let\u2019s Print joining our group, we will be able to accelerate our growth plans which is a key part of our strategy. We believe we can become the largest and most successful web offset and gravure printer of publications and advertising flyers in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gerhard Poppe, chairman of the LEYKAM Let\u2019s Print Holding AG<\/strong>, said: \u201cMarket consolidation is an opportunity for us. Our integration within Walstead offers plenty of scope for further growth. Walstead has made a clear commitment to maintain this strategy, and to support our four printing sites and the LEYKAM Let\u2019s Print team.\u201d<\/p>\n
